Mission: To support Christian Education and Primary Health Care in Rural Uganda.
Friends of Kibbuse is an all-volunteer, fund-seeking and general support organization working to enlarge and improve the educational and community health services provided by the St. James Kibbuse Foundation, an existing, registered non-denominational, Non- Governmental Organization (NGO) serving Nyamarwa Sub-County, Bunyanjo County, and the Kibaale District of west-central Uganda, East Africa.
The St. James Kibbuse Foundation was founded and is managed by an all-Ugandan Board of Directors, formed under Ugandan law and registered with the Uganda Department of the Interior. Demographics: The Kibaale District is almost entirely agrarian and one of the poorest districts of the country. The current population is unknown, but has been noted as having the highest birth rate in Uganda. This puts an enormous strain on health and educational facilities, and makes the work of the Kibbuse Foundation all the more important to ALL people in the district in their perennial struggle to work their way out of poverty. |
