The St. James Kibbuse Foundation is a private non-denominational Christian registered Ugandan NGO, founded in 1995. It is based on James 2:14-26 which entreaties us that "Faith without works is dead". The Foundation's primary purposes are to practically and materially address the needs of youth and orphans for vocational, spiritual, environmental, and "life skills" training. Also to meet the needs of families in remote areas for health care and economic opportunity as well as the need for civil peace-keeping in a rapidly changing culture. The foundation administrative offices and the vocational center are located in Nyarmarwa. Its primary service area is the Kibaale District of Uganda, although students from many areas of Uganda attend the school.
The word Kibbuse means "something is coming up" or "something is growing". The hope and intention of the Foundation is to provide a wide range of opportunities and positive environments that will help both people and projects take root, grow, and prosper. The intention is to give arms and legs to the Gospel message that the Kingdom of God is Near by showing faith through deeds.
