Celebrating Thirty Years!

Exciting News: Jan 22,2026

KIBBUSE IS "TAKING FLIGHT" TO NEW HEIGHTS!

2026 is the Kibbuse Foundation's Thirtieth Year of service to the people of Nyamarwa Subcounty in the Kibaale District. Thirty years since a group of villagers met under an acacia tree and, under the leadership of Rev. James Adyeri, began formulating a vision for community development.

To celebrate this milestone, Friends of Kibbuse is sending Team 2026, a dozen or more supporters who will, the Lord willing (and if the Presidential election on January 16 is peaceful), fly to Uganda at the end of February for a week of celebrations and field work.

The purpose will be to "Kick-start" a great 2026 for the Nyamarwa Kibbuse Vocational Center and the Kibbuse Kabasara Health Services clinic. There will be a graduation ceremony and dedication of the new Girl's Dorm and Administrative Block at the school, along with a work project that will upgrade the school piggery and cow stable. Additionally, the team will provide support for a planned immunization day at the clinic, visit a local primary school and spend a day just building one-on-one relationships with the vocational school students.

Two members of the team, Bob and Jim Schuyler, will have the special assignment, interviewing all of Kibbuse's founding board members and documenting the school celebrations on video, with the intention of creating a promotional video after their return. Bob and his wife Brenda, who founded Friends of Kibbuse in 2014, also plan to write a book based on the stories gleaned from Kibbuse's founders. Their son Jim, Bob's teammate, is an electronic communications specialist and will be returning to Uganda for the first time since spending three months there in 2004, where he is looking forward to visiting his Ugandan God-parents, now in their eighties.

Finally, Friends of Kibbuse will be seeking funds throughout the year for two major projects: 1) Urgently needed on-site staff housing for the clinic employees (Kabasara village has no decent and reasonably secure housing to offer); and 2) A multi-purpose building with a large "under roof" assembly space for the vocational center. Serving as a testing center, assembly/dining hall and chapel, this structure will round out the facilities needed to finally achieve full Department of Education Certification for the Nyamarwa Kibbuse Vocational Center!
Please pray for God's blessing on all these exciting plans!

Exciting News: Feb 12, 2025

ALBERT KISEMBO, Rev. James’ eldest son, has followed the call of God into the ministry
created nearly thirty years ago by his father. He will serve as the new Executive Director, side by side with Rev. James, who will continue as the Spiritual and Promotional Director for the Kibbuse Foundation.

This is great news for a number of reasons that we hope will help all of you and all of us on the Friends of Kibbuse Board renew with vigor our contributions of time, talent and resources to the Kingdom work of the Kibbuse Foundation.

Why Albert Kisembo’s response is such great news

ALBERT is forty-two years old, married, wholeheartedly committed to Jesus, the father of two daughters and a son, and a well-prepared administrator and managerial leader. We truly believe God has prepared and qualified him perfectly to come alongside, complement, support and broaden the inspirational and visionary abilities of his father, Rev. James, who has steered Kibbuse through its first twenty-four years of service to the people of Nyamarwa Subcounty and the Kibaale District.

Albert is a Business Administration graduate of Makerere University in Kampala and holds a Certificate of Hospital Management from CORAT Africa (Christians Organizations Research and Advisory Trust of Africa), Nairobi, Kenya. He has served as business and operations manager for the Azur Health Center, in the city of Hoima, since 2008. Here is a part of Albert’s acceptance declaration

“I Kisembo Albert, do declare, and at the same time confirm to the entire Friends of Kibbuse fraternity, well-wishers, and the Ugandan board on ground at Kibbuse, that after thorough considerations and praying over this for the LORD’s guidance, and consultations with my family, I have made up my mind to officially end with this year 2024 serving at Azur Christian Health Centre IV and join Kibbuse Foundation come next year 2025. . . . I . . . am looking forward with determination and full trust in the LORD Almighty to continue serving the LORD in the best way He has prepared for me to do so in another community and location with a very vibrant team at Kibbuse Foundation with the entire fraternity of the Friends of Kibbuse both near and far!
Luke 1:37 “For Nothing Is Impossible With GOD.” (NLT)
All to Jesus l surrender."
Yours Sincerely,

Albert Kisembo

When needs arise, our God sends help at just the right time!

For Kibbuse to be able to serve the growing needs of a growing population and burgeoning Ugandan economy, and in light of Rev. James’s continuing need for full recovery of his health, Albert’s presence by his father’s side will enable everyone involved with the Clinic, the Vocational School and the other community initiatives of the Kibbuse Foundation to do better work more confidently and competently! Over the years, Albert has demonstrated his love for his father, especially by being a caregiver for Rev. James during his long convalescence, but also by constant prayer and regular personal communications with many Friends of Kibbuse leaders and supporters.

We believe Rev. James, the inspirational and visionary father of Kibbuse, and his remarkable son Albert, acting in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit are coming together at just the right time for the vocational school and clinic to take major steps of infrastructural growth that will soon more than double the productivity of both ministries.
